A project about the tension between the staged and the document, a concern between my internal desires and the need to express (extimite) and to communicate my interests about social issues…

Now,I decide that the thing that makes me to feel exciting with
my visual as well as my research practice is the tension between
the document,(the context about social issues) and the
staged photography (the narrative storytelling).

Through this complex,on the one hand I can satisfied my personal
desires about staged photography (storytelling),
and on the other hand I am able to expose my intimate social
world to the mass interest. 

In my research paper,I expand the practice of three photographers;
Diane Arbus,Nan Goldin, and Philip Lorca diCorcia, now in relation
with my project, I recognize some elements of each practice that
led me to express as well as to explain my thoughts.

According to this research I produced few photographs about my
project, I am dealing with a part of people of the place that
I grew up, the west side of Thessalonica in Greece.This part of
people is a transsexual, her friends (transsexuals as well)
and her boyfriend, a pimp.

The worst behavior of a big part of the society to their way of
living, leads me to see my subject with sensibility and to create
photographs that depict them through a beautifulness sense,
as well as a mysterious and romantic aesthetic.
